Here's why I love pull apart bread

I recently had the joy of witnessing my granddaughter's first communion. To celebrate this special occasion, we organized a delightful brunch right after the church service. Considering the immediate transition from the ceremony to the meal, I wanted to offer our guests easily accessible and delicious food options. One of the highlights was this ready to serve blueberry pull-apart bread, allowing everyone to help themselves.

1.  No more fussing with knives or serving utensils. Just pull apart the bread, and each person can grab a slice effortlessly.

2. Perfect for brunch or a shower! Whether it’s a baby shower, bridal shower, or any special celebration, this blueberry pull-apart bread adds a touch of elegance and simplicity. Your guests can enjoy individual slices without the need for knives or utensils.

3. Quick and easy breakfast: On those busy mornings when time is scarce, this bread comes to the rescue. The kids can simply grab a slice and go, savoring the scrumptious flavors of blueberries and cream cheese as they start their day.

Ingredients

2 16 oz cans of refrigerated biscuits

1 cup fresh blueberries

4 oz softened cream cheese

¼ cup sugar

2 tablespoons milk

Butter

Let's get started

How to make blueberry pull-apart bread using canned biscuits, fresh blueberries, and cream cheese.

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously coat a 9-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray or Crisco

2. In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, milk, and half of the blueberries. Use a hand mixer to blend until smooth, creating a luscious blueberry cream cheese mixture.

3. Take the canned biscuits and roll them out until flattened one at a time. Spread the prepared blueberry cream cheese mixture evenly on top of each biscuit.

4. Sprinkle a few additional blueberries on each biscuit for an extra burst of flavor. Then, stack the biscuits into equal stacks, creating delicious layers of goodness.

5. Carefully place the blueberry stacks inside the prepared loaf pan.

6. To add a final touch, sprinkle a few more blueberries on top of the bread. Brush the top of the biscuits with melted butter for a golden, crispy finish.

7. Cover the loaf pan with aluminum foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 45 minutes or until the top turns a delicious golden brown.

Be sure to check that the inside of the bread is baked thoroughly.  If the inside isn’t quite done, cover and bake for another 10 minutes.

Once the blueberry bread is done allow it to cool slightly before pulling apart the irresistible slices.
