Homemade Pudding Pop Recipe

How to make pudding pops! Super easy, creamy and delicious pudding pop recipe.

The nostalgic Jell-O pudding pop, if you were growing up in the 1990's you're sure to remember this creamy frozen treat. If you've never had a pudding pop you're missing out with this flavorful, creamy, and chocolaty dessert.

Pudding pops are inexpensive and super easy to make. With so many instant pudding flavor options you can switch up the flavor of this fun and delicious frozen treat. I layered vanilla and chocolate pudding, but you can certainly use one flavor or any flavor you like. Try adding crushed Oreo cookies to vanilla pudding for cookies and cream pudding pops.

In this pudding pop recipe, we're going to use cool whip. Cool whip gives the pudding pops a creamy, melt in your mouth texture. The only other ingredients you will need in this homemade pudding pop recipe are instant pudding and milk.

Helpful Tips

If you don't have popsicle molds reuse the small child size yogurt cups. These small yogurt cups work perfectly and are actually easier to fill making this recipe that much easier.

If you are using yogurt cups for a pudding pop mold place the popsicle stick about halfway into the pudding mixture. You want the stick to be long enough to hold.

How to remove homemade pudding pops from the cup or popsicle mold? To easily remove the pudding pop from the popsicle mold or yogurt cup place it under warm water for about 15-20 seconds.

Ingredients

1 box of chocolate instant pudding

1 box of vanilla instant pudding

4 cups of milk

1 cup of cool whip divided, 1/2 cup for each flavor of pudding.

How To Make Homemade Pudding Pops

In a bowl, combine the vanilla instant pudding mix and 2 cups of milk. Whisk until well blended. Add 1/2 cup of cool whip and mix thoroughly.

Repeat step one with the chocolate instant pudding.

Once the pudding starts to set place the pudding in the mold layering chocolate and vanilla.

Place the sticks in the mold about halfway, be sure to leave enough stick to hold, and freeze for at least four hours.

Remove the pudding pop by running the mold under warm water for 15-20 seconds.
