Big Mac sliders are so easy to make and come together in just a few simple steps, but first, let me tell you—you do not have to cook individual hamburger patties for these sliders! That’s what makes this recipe so simple and perfect for busy days. Instead of shaping and flipping a bunch of tiny burgers, you’ll spread the seasoned ground beef mixture into a baking dish and bake it in the oven, like a meatloaf. Once it’s cooked through, you will easily place it onto the slider rolls. This method not only saves time but also keeps the beef juicy and evenly cooked, making it ideal for easy Big Mac sliders or any baked slider recipe you love.

Tip

Choose lean beef: Use a higher-quality ground beef with less fat. Cheaper, fattier beef can release a lot of grease while cooking, making your sliders soggy.

This recipe uses two packages of slider rolls. You can cut the recipe in half for a smaller portion.

Big Mac Sliders Ingredients

Ingredients:

1 1/2 - 2 pounds Ground beef or turkey

1 onion, finely chopped

• Salt and pepper

2 teaspoons Garlic powder

2 eggs

• Pretzel or regular Hawaiian slider rolls (2 packages)

• Thousand Island dressing

• Cheese slices

• Dill pickles

• Shredded lettuce

Big Mac Slider Recipe – Step by Step

Slider Recipe Instructions:

  1. Prepare the meat mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and eggs. Mix until well combined.

  1. Shape and bake the patties: Divide the mixture into two equal portions. Shape each portion into a rectangle slightly larger than the slider rolls. Place the rectangles on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes or until beef is fully cooked.

  1. Prepare the buns: While the meat is baking, place the bottom halves of the slider rolls onto a baking sheet in two groups of nine rolls (one package per group). Spread about 2 tablespoons of Thousand Island dressing over the bottom of the buns.

  1. Layer the sliders: When the meat is finished, blot away any excess grease with a paper towel. Carefully place the cooked meat on top of the prepared buns. Drizzle thousand island dressing over the meat. Add slices of cheese over the top.

  1. Melt the cheese: Return the tray to the oven just until the cheese melts.

  1. Finish and serve: Remove from the oven, add pickles and shredded lettuce on top of the cheese. Place the top halves of the buns over the sliders and serve.

Can I make Big Mac Sliders ahead of time?

You can absolutely prepare and shape the meat mixture ahead of time. Just place it on a tray, cover it, and keep it in the refrigerator until about 20 minutes before baking. However, I don't recommend assembling the sliders with the rolls and toppings in advance, as they can become soggy. And remember never put cold glass bakeware directly into a hot oven, as it can shatter.
