Crunchy, sweet, and bursting with Easter charm, these treats are sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike.

This recipe is ideal for young kitchen helpers! With just a few simple ingredients—mini marshmallows, cereal, and butter—it's the perfect opportunity for kids to get involved and have fun in the kitchen.

Let the kids pick their favorite eggs for this part it's a blast! Options like Cadbury mini eggs, jellybeans, sour jellybeans, or even M&Ms are all great choices to add a pop of color and flavor to your Easter nests.

Tips

Cornflake nests use the same ingredients as homemade rice crispy treats, resulting in a sticky mixture. To avoid mess, lightly coat a sandwich bag with Crisco or cooking spray, then place it over your hand like a glove to easily handle and shape the mixture without sticking.

Using a mini muffin tin creates the perfect bite-sized cornflake nest, but a regular-sized muffin tin can also be used.

INGREDIENTS FOR EASTER EGG NESTS

6 cups Cornflakes cereal

4 cups Mini marshmallows

1/3 cup plus 2 tablespoons Butter

Jelly beans or Cadbury mini eggs

Here's How To create Cornflake Easter Nests
  1. Melt the Marshmallows and Butter: In a pot melt the butter and marshmallows on low heat.

  2. Combine with Cornflakes: Once melted, remove the saucepan from heat and add the cornflake cereal to the marshmallow mixture. Stir until the cereal is evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.

  3. Shape into Nests: Grease a mini muffin pan and spoon the cornflake mixture into each cup. Use your fingers or the back of a spoon to shape the mixture into nest-like formations, creating an indentation in the center of each nest.

  4. Add Toppings: For a festive touch, garnish each nest with Cadbury mini eggs, jellybeans, or M&M's.

  5. Chill and Serve: Place the muffin pan in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to allow the nests to set.
