Chex mix starts with a base of your favorite Chex cereals – Corn, Rice, and Wheat Chex. The recipe calls for 3 cups each of corn, rice, and wheat but the choice is yours. To cut cost you can use 9 cups of one cereal. The key to great Chex Mix is a flavorful coating. Create a seasoned sauce by melting butter and combining it with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and seasoned salt. You don't want to skimp on the seasoning.

  • 6 tablespoons butter or margarine

  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt

In a large microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 30 seconds or until melted. Stir in seasonings. Gradually stir in remaining ingredients until evenly coated.

Microwave uncovered on High 4 to 5 minutes, thoroughly stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool, about 5 minutes. Store in airtight container.
