Indulging in sweet treats doesn't have to be complicated. These quick and delicious peanut butter balls are the perfect addition to your cookie tray or a speedy sweet treat. With this simple no-bake peanut butter ball recipe, you can whip them up in just a few minutes, making them an ideal choice for those looking to satisfy their sweet tooth without investing much time. The combination of creamy peanut butter, a touch of sweetness, and a coating of chocolate results in a delightful bite-sized indulgence. Whether you're preparing for a gathering or simply craving a speedy homemade dessert, these peanut butter balls are sure to be a hit.

Baking during the holiday season isn't my top choice. I prefer enjoying my Christmas tree with a good book or a festive movie. Interestingly, three out of my four children have birthdays within the two weeks surrounding Christmas so time is a factor. This peanut butter ball recipe has become my go-to during busy holidays because of how effortlessly they combine. With Christmas often catching me off guard, and birthdays to celebrate I appreciate quick and tasty cookie recipes that don't require a lot of time.

These peanut butter balls effortlessly achieve that. Combine all the ingredients in a single bowl, shape them into small balls, refrigerate for an hour, coat them in chocolate, and they're ready for your enjoyment.

TIP

Chill The Dough: Refrigerate the mixture after shaping into balls. This makes the dough easier to handle and prevents overly sticky

hands.

Dipping Techniques

1. Fork Dip: Use a fork to dip each ball into melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.

2. Toothpick Dip: Insert a toothpick into each ball, dip into melted chocolate, then gently tap off excess chocolate on the side of the bowl.

3. Spoon Coating: Use a spoon to pour melted chocolate over the peanut butter balls, ensuring an even coating.

What You Will Need

• 1½ cups of Rice Krispies cereal

• 1 cup of smooth peanut butter

• ⅓ cup of unsalted butter, room temperature

• 1⅔ cups of powdered sugar

• 1 (12-ounce) bag of chocolate chips

Instructions

Step 1: Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: Crush the cereal by placing it in a baggie and using a rolling pin.

Step 3: Combine peanut butter, butter, and powdered sugar in a medium bowl.

Step 4: Add the crushed cereal on top of the other ingredients.

Step 5: Mix ingredients until completely combined. The peanut butter mixture should form a dough like ball.

Step 6: Roll the dough into small balls, place them on the prepared baking sheet, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Step 7: Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Begin with 30-second intervals, stirring between each. If necessary, continue heating in 15-second intervals until the chocolate is smooth. For thick chocolate, consider adding a splash of oil to the melted mixture.

Step 8: Dip the balls in the melted chocolate using one of the methods I shared above and place each dipped ball on the parchment paper.

Place the chocolate-covered peanut butter balls back in the fridge until the chocolate is set.
