This sweet, creamy honey mustard sauce recipe is simple to make. You can whip some up in less than five minutes.

When I made honey mustard for the first time I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. Many of the grocery store products are convenient, from household products to food items. What we as consumers don't realize is how many things can be made at home at a fraction of the cost and with healthier ingredients. Here on the blog, we've talked about homemade cleaning products that are an effective healthier option. Now let's talk about salad dressings and dipping sauce.

Who doesn't love dipping sauce? This honey mustard sauce can be used for a variety of foods, with chicken tenders being number one of course. Try it on a wrap, sandwich, salad, veggies, or even some fried potatoes. I have a dijon mustard vinaigrette recipe I will post below.

How to store homemade salad dressing? Homemade salad dressing and dipping sauce should be stored in an air-tight container in the fridge. The dressing and dipping sauce will stay good for 2 weeks.

Homemade Dijon Mustard Vinaigrette

This is a perfect salad dressing for spring and summer when greens are in season. It's light, delicious, a little sweet, a little tangy, and simple to make.

Dijon Vinaigrette Ingredients

¼ Cup of vinegar

½ Cup of olive oil or avocado oil

6 Teaspoons of lemon juice, or juice of one lemon

2 Tablespoons of dijon mustard

¼ Teaspoon parsley ( optional )

1 Tablespoon honey

1 Teaspoon salt

A pinch of pepper


Whisk all ingredients in a bowl. Store in the fridge. Yes, that's it! It is that simple!

Honey Mustard Sauce Ingredients

¼ cup honey

¼ cup yellow or dijon mustard

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ cup mayonnaise

¼ teaspoon garlic powder

3 teaspoons lemon juice

Whisk all ingredients in a bowl until smooth and store in an airtight container in the fridge. You can also use a blender. Mason Jars are perfect to store the dressing in. Enjoy!
